Justice Syed Zahid Hussain of the Lahore High Court (LHC) has sent his report along with necessary recommendations on the matter of police torture on protesters to the Supreme Court of Pakistan. The judge has dispatched his 75-pages report with all other relevant material after conducting detailed inquiry following the orders of the Supreme Court.
The inquiry was started on March 22 and concluded on April 08. The judge had recorded statements of about 11 journalists, 15 lawyers and several police officials including SSP Operations, Lahore Aftab Ahmad Cheema.
