President Pakistan Muslim (PML) Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain held another round of talks with the administration of Lal Masjid (red mosque) and Jamia Hafsa here on Wednesday. The talks were held at the residence of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and also attended by PML Secretary General Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed.
Later, the administration of federal capital was also invited to attend the dialogue process to find amicable solution to the affairs of Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa. General Secretary Wafaq-ul-Madaras Hanif Jullundhri and Qari Amar Yasir also attended the meeting.
Representatives of Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa discussed various things related to Jamia Hafsa and exchanged views with Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and the local administration. Later, talking to newsmen, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said negotiations with the administration of Lal Masjid, are in progress and expressed the hope that these talks would have positive results.
Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, giving details of the negotiations, said that PML President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain was unanimously given the task to negotiate with the administration of Lal Masjid and Jamia Hafsa.
Mushahid said President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz have unanimously expressed confidence in Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain to carry on the talks with the representatives of Lal Masjid to resolve the issue through dialogue. Senator Mushahid said the issue of illegally constructed mosques was also discussed in the talks and it would also be resolved amicably through dialogue. He said there has been positive progress in these talks and expressed the hope that there will be good news on the issue within the next couple of days.
