Vehicles having same numbers cause fear

Several motor vehicles have been found running in the metropolis with the same number plates. A brand-new Mini Pajero and a Sedan car with Honda emblem were found bearing the same number AFR-2006 and were surprisingly moving on city streets without any difficulty and restriction.
It may be mentioned here that the sign 'AFR' stands for 'Applied for Registration'. The AFR vehicles allowed moving on the road by the Excise and Taxation department.
But in the case of 'AFR-2006' several vehicles of different makes have been found running in the city and motorists fear that this could be the action of unauthorised persons, which requires thorough probe by the authorities.
