Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has signed Gas Sale Purchase Agreement (GSPA) for supply of 100 MMCFD gas to M/s Engro Chemical Pakistan Limited (ECPL) on Wednesday. ECPL will set up a new fertiliser plant with a manufacturing capacity of 1.3 million tonnes of fertiliser per annum at Daharki in district Ghotki.
The agreement was signed by Rashid Lone, Managing Director on behalf of SNGPL and Khalid S Subhani, Senior Vice President on behalf of ECPL. This 100 MMCFD gas from Qadirpur gas field has been allocated to ECPL against payment of Rs 101 million premium bid for setting up of world's largest urea fertiliser plant, after being the successful bidder in a bidding process initiated by the Ministry of Industries, Production and Special Initiatives.
