A delegation of Korean Electric Power Company (Kepco) held a meeting with Wapda authorities at Wapda House here on Wednesday to explore the investment opportunities in the power sector of Pakistan. Wapda Member (Power) Fazal Ahmed Khan briefed the delegation about the current power scenario in Pakistan.
Member (Water) Muhammad Mushtaq Chaudhry made a detailed presentation about the development of infrastructure for hydropower generation in Pakistan. He apprised the delegation about a number of hydropower projects where the KEPCO could be interested for making investment. The delegation was impressed by the hydropower potential of Pakistan and appreciated the policies of the federal as well as the provincial governments of NWFP and Punjab.
