The Punjab government has decided to establish an industrial databank to facilitate local trade and industrial organisations and foreign investors. Punjab Minister for Trade and Investment Suhail Zafar Cheema said this while addressing a departmental meeting here on Wednesday.
He said the databank would also provide required information regarding establishment of new industries in rural and urban areas. He said that different trade organisations were being contacted along with all Punjab chambers of commerce to ensure entry of valid and accurate data in the databank.
Co-operation of concerned trade associations will also be sought to provide assistance in this regard. The facility will make sound and detailed information about industries accessible to entrepreneurs and investors in a quick and easy manner. Foreign investors would be able to access complete data about new investment opportunities in Punjab through this databank, he said.
