Classical singer Asad Amanat Ali Khan, who died of heart attack in London on Sunday, laid to rest at Mominpura graveyard, here on Wednesday. Earlier, his body was flown from London through a PIA flight at 8.45 am, that was received at the Lahore airport by his relatives.
His namaz-e-janaza was attended by a large number of people belonging from different walks of life. Allama Tehzeeb Raza Naqvi led the prayers. Among others, Farrukh Bashir, Shaukat Ali, Hamid Ali Khan, Sharaft Naqvi and Mian Akhlaq Guddo attended his funeral.
It may be mentioned that the 54-year old Asad Amanat Ali who was facing heart problem died in London due to cardiac arrest. His Qul will be held on Friday, April 13 at his residence at Karim Park, Rehman road at 4.00 pm.
