On Friday, China just launched an experimental reconnaissance satellite called TK-1 and got it successfully into orbit.
The satellite was carried by the KT-2 rocket and took off in the early hours of Thursday from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch centre located in the Gobi desert region of north-western China.
According to Chinese media, the spy- satellite will be used for remote sensing, telecommunications and experiments in mini-satellite-based technologies. The KT-2 rocket is one of five carrier systems in China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp (CASIC)'s commercial space plan said the officials.
