Khateeb of Lal Masjid Maulana Abdul Aziz has said that PML president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain had come to the mosque for talks, saying that his behaviour was positive. In his Juma sermon he said that their doors are open for negotiations but they would not compromise on their stance.
He said Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Ijaz-ul-Haq threatens of operations. He also called upon the people to put pressure on President General Pervez Musharraf for implementation of Islamic laws in the country. He said it is the responsibility of the government to enforce Shariah in the country, however, he said if the government doesn't fulfil the responsibility then the people of ever area should implement Shariah in their respective areas.
Maulana Abdul Aziz also called upon the people to convince the video businessmen for winding up the 'un-Islamic and unethical business' and help them start alternative jobs. In his sermon he also urged upon the Muslims to launch campaigns against the obscenity. He said that prominent ulema including Maulana Sher Ali and Maulana Qazi Hamidullah were also supporting their stance.
