Promotion and transfer orders of several officers of the Pakistan armed forces have been announced here, on Saturday. Most of the transfers would be effective from July.
According to details, Deputy Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Khalid Shamim Wyane has been made Corps Commander of Quetta, in place of General Hamid Nawaz, who will take charge as IG Training & Evaluation to replace Lieutenant General Masood Aslam. Lieutenant General Masood Aslam will take charge as Corps Commander Peshawar in place of Lieutenant General Hamid Khan, who has been made Commandant National Defence University, Islamabad to replace Lieutenant General Raza Khan. Lieutenant General Raza Khan has been transferred to Bahawalpur as Corps Commander.
General Officer Commanding-Quetta Major General Haroon has been made DG Rangers-Lahore, in place of Major General Hussain Mehdi, while Major General Jamil Haider has been ordered to take charge as deputy chief of general staff, in place of Lieutenant General Khalid Shamim Wyane. General Officer Commanding Major General Rashid has been transferred to ISI Headquarters-Islamabad.

Brigadier Tariq Rasheed Khan has been promoted as major general and posted as GOC 33 Division Quetta. Deputy military secretary in M.S. Branch GHQ Brigadier Muhammad Khalid has been promoted to major general rank and posted as GOC 17 division Kharian. Director military operations GHQ Brigadier Kaleem Sabir Taseer has been promoted to major general rank and posted Commandant school of artillery Naushehra. Brigadier Muhammad Mansha of National Defence University Islamabad has been promoted as major general and posted Director General Logistics GHQ.
Brigadier Ghulam Dastgir of National Defence University Islamabad has been promoted as major general and posted as chief instructor War College National Defence University Islamabad. Brigadier Javed Iqbal who went for studies to the United States has been promoted as Major General and posted GOC Karachi.
Brigadier Ziauddin Najam of the Army Strategic Force Command has been promoted as major general and posted GOC strategic force, chief of staff southern Sargodha Mangla Corps Brigadier Tahir Habib Siddiqui has been promoted as major general and posted GOC armoured division Kharian.
Vice Commander Logistic Secretariat Major General Waqar Ahmed Kangarwi has been posted as GOC Army Aviation Command Rawalpindi, GOC Strategic Force Major General Iftikhar Raja Chaudhry has been posted as D.G. Welfare GHQ, GOC 41 division Quetta Major General Muhammad Farooque has been posted as D.G. Depot, D.G. military land and revenue Major General Ulfat Hussain has been posted voice commander logistic secretariat, Commandant School of Artillery Major General Athar Hussain Shah has been posted as GOC 12 artillery division Gujranwala.
GOC Kohat Major General Gul Muhammad has been posted D.G. personnel & admin GHQ, Commandant military college of engineering Risalpur Major General Tariq Mehmood has been posted as D.G. ISI and GOC 6 armoured division Kharian Major General Athar Abbas has been posted as D.G. Quartering & Lands and a notification to this effect has been issued.
