The fourth Punjab Development Forum will be held at 90 Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam on April 23-24, providing an opportunity to policy makers and stakeholders to engage in wide-ranging dialogue on the development priorities in the province.
Punjab Chief Minister, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi will open the development forum while Chairman Planning and Development Board, Punjab, Suleman Ghani will present the address of welcome.
Other major speakers at the forum include Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Ms Hina Rabbani Khar, Ms Charlotte Seymour-Smith, Director South Asia, DFID (UK), Praful Patel, Regional Vice President of World Bank for South Asia, Juan Miranda, Director General, Asian Development Bank for Central and West Asia, Yusupha B Crookes, Country Director World Bank, Yousaf Samiullah, Head DFID Pakistan and Country Director Asian Development Bank (ADB), Peter Fedon.
"The discourse at the forum will help the Punjab government to improve its strategy for development," Chairman Planning and Development Board, Suleman Ghani told newsmen on Saturday. Asad Sumbal, Director Punjab Resource Management Programme (PRMP) was also present on the occasion. Suleman Ghani said that issues like making pension and GP Fund off budget and sanitation policy would also be discussed during the course of the forum.
