The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) has restored double pay package of seven senior tax officials with immediate effect. According to a notification issued on Saturday, the following officers have fulfilled the terms and conditions specified in circular 1 of October 31, 2006.
Mrs Fareena Mazhar (BS-19), Secretary Tax Reforms Admn CBR Headquarters; Imtiaz Ahmed Khan (BS-19), Secretary Tax Policy and Reforms, CBR; Muhammad Nasir Khan (BS-19), Secretary CBR; Ahmed Raza Khan (BS-19), Islamabad and Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Talpur, Second Secretary, Public Relations, CBR.
Similarly, the CBR has also restored special allowance of Shahid Iqbal Baloch (BS-18), Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Large Taxpayer Unit (LTU), Karachi and Mumtaz Hussain (BS-17), Programmer, LTU, Karachi.
The board has also cancelled the posting of Said Sharif, supervisor, Regional Tax Office, Abbottabad with immediate effect. He is reverted to his original place of posting and his special allowance has been withdrawn. Through another notification, Member Direct Taxes Salman Nabi (BS-21), Islamabad has been allowed to look after the work of the post of Chairman CBR from April 14-21 during visit abroad of M. Abdullah Yusuf.
On attaining age of superannuation, Muhammad Shiraz, a BS-19 officer of Income Tax Group, Additional Director, Directorate General of Inspection and Internal Audit (Direct Taxes), Islamabad has been retired with effect from July 26, 2007.
Mushtaq Ahmed Sahto, a BS-19 official of Income Tax Group, Commissioner Income Tax Appeals, Hyderabad has been transferred and posted as Additional Commissioner of Income Tax Regional Tax Office (RTO), Hyderabad with immediate effect. Abdul Razzaq, a BS-19 official of Customs and Excise Group, Additional Collector, Collectorate of Sales Tax and Federal Excise has been nominated as departmental representative, Customs, Excise and Sales Tax, Appellate Tribunal, Islamabad Bench-I in addition to his own duties.
