Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz will leave for Beijing on a six-day official visit to China today (Monday) on the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao. The visit is part of the high-level interaction between the two countries.
The Prime Minister will hold wide ranging talks with his Chinese counter part on bilateral, regional and international issues. Both the leaders will discuss ways and means to further strengthen Pak-China ties in various fields besides situation in Afghanistan, Iraq and the Middle East. Shaukat Aziz will also call on President Hu Jintao.
A number of agreements and MoUs will be signed during the visit. The Prime Minister will also meet Chief Executives of various leading Corporations of China. His other engagements in Beijing include meetings with several important Ministers and an address at the Communist Party School.
At Chengdu, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the new Consulate General of Pakistan and visit the Air Design Complex. The Prime Minister will also address students at the Sichuan University.
At the last leg of his visit, Aziz will visit Boao where he will be a keynote speaker at the Boao Forum for Asia. He will be meeting Chief Executives of leading international companies of the world at Boao.
