Punjab Minister for Public Health Sardar Hassan Akhtar Moakal in a meeting at DPO office urged the district police for completely tracing out five notorious criminal gangs whose 17 members have been arrested by them earlier.
DPO Kasur Tariq Abbas Qureshi, SP (Investigation) Syed Ali Mohsin, DSPs City Mian Ibrar Khalil, Rao Asif Zaman and other police officials were also present in the moot.
The minister was told that special-raiding teams arrested the 17 criminals belonging to Saddique gang, Rashid Iqbal alias Rashdi gang, and Usmani gangs from Illahabad and Chunian Circles. The police claimed of recovering Rs 446400, 14 tolas gold, TVs and other booty worth more than Rs 400,000/ from them. The minister awarded Rs 50,000/ to DSP Chunian Rao Asif Zaman, Rs 20,000/ to SHO Rana Hanif of the Illahabad police station, Rs 10,000/ each to SI Khushi Muhammad and SI Abbas Bhatti for good performance and also awarded Rs 300,000/ cheques each to five widows of policemen who sacrificed their lives during their duties.
