Ukraine's Tsentralniy GOK ore concentrator said on Monday it had increased output by 6.4 percent to 1.459 million tonnes in January-March compared with the same period in 2006.
The plant, located in Kryvy Rih in central Ukraine, increased ore concentrate output by 4.6 percent to 5.572 million tonnes in 2006 from 5.325 million in 2005, while pellet production rose by 3.1 percent to 2.217 million. The company has said it is likely to increase iron concentrate output by up to 4.0 percent in 2007. Tsentralniy GOK is majority owned by System Capital Management, part of the business empire of Ukraine's richest man, Rinat Akhmetov.
