The Supreme Court of Pakistan has suspended the orders of election tribunal that had declared election of Minister for Manpower, Rana Qasim Noon as void announced Mehdi Abbas Khan as successful candidate.
The election tribunal comprising a judge of the Lahore High Court had directed the Election Commission to publish the name of Mehdi as the returned candidate. The Supreme Court granting stay against the election tribunal's orders called for the concerned record.
