The Lawyers community observed token strike and boycotted the courts for one hour from 10.30 to 11.30 and held hunger strike camps in the bar premises. They also wore black strips. Human rights activists and political workers also joined the hunger strike camps and expressed their solidarity with the bar members.
Save Judiciary Committee also held its hunger strike camp in the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) premises. A number of students, political activists and women organisations joined the camp. They also put garlands on the photograph of Dr Qadeer placed in the chair to express solidarity with him in his house arrest.
