The 51st meeting of Packages and Packing Materials Sectional Committee of Chemical Division of Pakistan Standards & Quality Control Authority (PSQCA)/Standards Development Centre, was held under the chairmanship of Ather Pervaiz, Manager Sack of M/S Dadabhoy Cement Industries Pvt Ltd.
The technical committee discussed the draft Pakistan Standard Specifications for Kraft paper sack for cement. The secretary of the meeting Jawaid H. Siddiqui informed the participant that due to increased production of cement, it is necessary to prepare standard for cement sack.
The technical committee studied the draft deeply and after useful debate the committee decided that the draft should be reviewed and prepared according to current demand and requirement.
The technical committee also agreed and suggested to secretary of the meeting for making draft for polypropylene sack for cement, which is widely used domestically as well as for export purpose.
