Fluorescent lamps instead of bulbs!

The country is facing a severe shortage of energy, and conservation is the only way to deal with it. Conservation can be done not only by switching off lights when they are not required, but also by using energy efficient appliances.
The state of California is planning to replace conventional light bulbs by fluorescent lamps, thereby reducing energy consumption by 60 percent.
Our government can first discourage manufacture of light bulbs greater than forty watts and then ban their use entirely. It will be difficult, but it can be done.
