Scorching heat makes lives unbearble

Provincial metropolis remained in the grip of hot spell on Tuesday, high mercury kept the citizens indoors to avoid scorching heat. According to a meteorological official, the maximum temperature was 40 degrees Celsius while minimum temperature recorded was 21 degrees Celsius. Humidity level remained low throughout the day at about 20 percent.
For the next 24 hours, Lahore is expected to remain dry and there would be dust-raining wind. The hottest place in the country was Turbat in Balochistan, where the maximum temperature was 44.5 degrees Celsius and the coolest place was Hunza where maximum temperature was recorded 17 degrees Celsius. Although, the worst of heat is yet to come, but the people preferred to remain indoors to escape heat, which had become unbearable.
Hence, there was a thin presence of people in markets and traffic on roads. Medical experts have advised people, especially the old people and children to avoid heat and increase the intake of water.
