Scholars of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh called on vice-chancellor Punjab University Lieutenant General Arshad Mahmood (Retd) here on Saturday. The visiting dignitaries included Fowzia Firoze of Bangladesh and Dr Dobanadevi Rajendra and Professor I M Kamala Liyanage.
Director, Institute of Social and Cultural Studies Muhammad Hafeez was also present on the occasion. The VC briefed the scholars about the research and development of Punjab University. He said that Punjab University was the oldest and largest university of the country that has established 25 new departments during last six years.
