The speed at which development projects are being under-taken to improve infrastructure like building Motorways-Flyovers-dams- ports-airports-educational institutions is a healthy sign. Such projects create job opportunities and lead to economic stability.
Then we have one third of the population using mobile phones. Our foreign exchange is being siphoned out of the country by network of international companies. Our exports are dwindling by the day.
Within the country a poor man is confronted with low salaries - high prices of consumer goods - shattered health care system - education - housing etc all adding to his miseries. The country is for the rich class - the bureaucrats - the businessmen - smugglers - mafia operators and what have you?
Our foreign reserves for the last couple of years have not crossed the 13 billion dollars mark. We are selling our national assets and doling out cash to those political figures where there is no monitoring and accountability. Where will it end?
