The University of Sindh has approved and released an amount of Rs 1.120 million as full free ship, half-free ship and bursary to 1,239 students of the university for the year 2007. The university's Deans recommended applications of the meritorious and desiring students of the different institutes and departments of the university.
The award of scholarship was approved by a high-level meeting of the Deans of the Faculties, senior professors, Registrar and Director Finance. The university in light of recommendations of the Deans allocated Rs 1.120 million and released the same amount to 1,239 students.
The university released full free ship to 478 students, half-free ship to 550 students, full bursary to 158 and half bursary to 53 students.
The meeting was presided over by the learned scholar and Dean Faculty of Natural Sciences Dr Muhammad Yar Khuhawar while deans of the various faculties, Registrar Muhammad Saleh Rajar, Director Finance Faiz Muhammad Hingoro and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
