Thin business was seen on the grain market on Monday as most of the leading buyers were on the sidelines due to less interest in the fresh deals, dealers said. On the rice sector, Basmati/D-98 Shahdadkot was up by Rs 100 to Rs 3603700, Basmati bagr Jee followed suit and picked up the same amount at the same rate, they said.
Basmati No 386 low type gained Rs 50 to Rs 3700 and good type was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 3800, they said. Super Basmati Sindh low type was up by Rs 50 to Rs 3800 and the good type went up by Rs 200 to Rs 4000, they said. sela Basmati gained sharply by Rs 200 to Rs 4200-4400, they said. Super Karnal new type soared at Rs 4200-4300, they added. Other sectors did not move any side amid balanced demand and supply position, they said.
