Adliya Bachao Committee (ABC) has postponed its programme to hold hunger strike camp in the Lahore High Court Bar Associations (LHCBA) premises after the suspension of the proceedings of presidential reference before the Supreme Judicial Council.
This was announced by ABC convenor Abdul Rashid Qureshi while addressing a press conference. He further said he would visit 113 bars of the province. He said that district bars had invited him to address their members but due to continuous protest against the suspension of Chief Justice of Pakistan, he could not attend the bars.
He said that political workers, human rights activists sit in their camp to express their solidarity with Chief Justice Pakistan Iftikhar Muhamamdd Chaudhry and Dr Qadeer Khan He thanked all such persons and organisations who supported the lawyers' community in their cause. He announced to continue struggle for the supremacy of law and independence of judiciary.
