Pakistan Agricultural Storage and Services Corporation Limited (Passco) has so far procured 813,000 tonnes of wheat, about 62.54 percent of the allocated target of 1.3 million tonnes. According to a spokesman of Passco here on Wednesday, wheat procurement operation crop 2007 is in full swing in all zones, and Passco has ensured in time supply of gunny bags in the field.
He said that complaint cells had been established in the zones and in the Head Office, Lahore for the immediate redressal of complaints. Passco Managing Director Major General Ahmad Nawaz Saleem Mela and General Manager (FIELD) Abdul Majeed Chaudhry are supervising the complaint cells at the head office. He said the wheat procurement would continue during the months of May and June, for which arrangements regarding gunny bags and funds had already been finalised.
