An international conference on value creation through professional accountants in business will be held in the metropolis from May 29.
The two-day moot is being organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) and the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) in collaboration with the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants (CAPA) and the South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA). It said that Professor Ata-ur-Rahman, Chairman of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) to be the chief guest at the inaugural session on May 29.
About 150 top professionals from CAPA countries including Australia, Canada, New Zealand, China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Hong Kong, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal will attend the conference along with the participants from International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank. At the inaugural session, Bob Mednick, Chairman, Compliance Advisory Panel, International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) will be the keynote speaker.
On May 30, four technical sessions will be held.
