I wish to extend my heartiest congratulations to the management and staff of the Attock Group of Companies on the ground breaking ceremony of Attock Gen Limited (AGL), the first venture of the Group in the field of power generation.
I understand that AGL is the first power plant being set-up under the Government of Pakistan's Power Policy of 2002 and also the first ever Independent Power Producer (IPP) to be geographically located North of Lahore. Such projects not only aid in the growth and development of the Group but also are vital to the progress of Pakistan.
At this point I also wish to congratulate the Government of Pakistan for successfully implementing its modern and visionary policies which have within a very short span of time transformed Pakistan into major economic hub.
I have always considered Pakistan as my second home and its prosperity is very close to my heart. With immense opportunities around us, I look forward to further initiatives being taken by the Attock Group with same energy and vigor which are its hallmarks.
