The Karachi Port handled 154,630 tonnes cargo including 136,285 tonnes import, 18,345 tonnes export cargo and 4,233 containers (TEUs) during last 48 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 73,705 tonnes dry cargo including 43,500 tonnes general cargo; 23,697 tonnes coal; 2,240 tonnes rice; 4,268 tonnes cement and 80,925 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Six ships namely Dimitris Y II, Sinar Bandung, Norasia Alps, Eastmed Carrier, Addarraq and M Can Bay sailed out to sea during the report period.
Eleven vessels viz Caribbean Carrier, Pontonikis, Oel Express, Corinthiakos, Apl Yokohama, Jade Trader, Y M Faha, Dong Hua Men, M.T. Swat, Kapsali and Maersk Bristol are currently at the berths.
Five ships namely Diamond Progress, Xiang Cheng, Apl Yokohama, Id Trader and Y M Faha expected to sail on Wednesday, while eight vessels viz Maersk Bristol, Dong Hua Men, Kapsali, M.T. Swat, Golina, Primrose Ace, Hyundai Advance and Corinthiakos are expected to sail on Thursday.
Three vessels viz Jo Oak, Hyundai Advance and Y M Energy due to arrive on Wednesday, while six ships namely Sea Energy, Iran Sattari, Ninos, Soon Fu, Conti Esperance and C Galaxy are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 123,270 tonnes comprising 92,523 tonnes import and 30,747 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2,713 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 42,472 tonnes diesel oil; 5,925 tonnes edible oil, 16,093 tonnes iron ore; 3,385 tonnes cement; `1,615 tonnes rice; 7,659 tonnes wheat and 46,121 tonnes containerised cargo. Two ships namely C.V. Maersk Dhaka and M.T. Sita Maria sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
Two vessels viz C.V. Nedlloyed Europa and C.V. Gothern Burn Express are expected to sail on Wednesday. A total of ten ships carrying furnace oil, wheat, cement, general cargo and containers namely Noor-e-Mustafa, Tarbon Santiago, Sea Sky, Marlene Green, Saudi Tabuk, Berenice, MSC Panama, ACX Tsubaki, MSC Pacheco and Xiang Wan are currently at the outer anchorage.
Three container ships namely ACX Tsubaki, MSC Pacheco and MSC Panama due to take berths at Container Terminal on Wednesday. One container vessel viz Hammurabi due to arrive on Thursday, while three more container ships namely Ningbo, CMA CGM Aegean and Sima Pars are due to arrive on Friday.
