Pakistan and India have agreed to extend the existing agreement relating to running Samjhauta Express for another three years. Indian Minister of State for Railways R. Velu informed Lok Sabha on Thursday, the delegations of Indian Railways and Pakistan Railways took this decision during their meeting in Islamabad from April 7 to 9 last.
Both countries agreed to extend the existing agreement relating to rail communication via Attari-Wagah for running of Samjhauta Express for a further period of three years with effect from January 20, 2007 to January 19, 2010.
