Crime Analysis Wing to be set up in Punjab

The Punjab government will establish Crime Analysis Wing (CAW) to eradicate crimes from the society and restore a sense of security among the people. The CAW would start documentation of the criminals and through a central database in the CAW, police would have direct access to criminals, said sources in the Punjab Police here on Monday.
The sources said that police would devise a comprehensive strategy to focus on resolving the people's problems and reduce the fear of insecurity among the masses. The CAW, he said, would help police to focus on criminal intelligence network and analyse the nature of criminal cases to take action accordingly.
