Commodore Mohammad Ehsan Saeed has been promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral as notified by Naval Headquarters, Public Relations Directorate on Monday. Rear Admiral Mohammad Ehsan Saeed was commissioned in the Operations branch of the Navy in 1976. He has served on board ships and in Naval Aviation in various operational capacities.
In that, he has commanded the Naval Aviation, has been Executive Officer of a Frigate and a Destroyer, and has also commanded the Patrol Craft Squadron. On staff assignments, he has been Senior Personal Staff to the Chief of Naval Staff and Director General of Naval Intelligence. He has been in the faculty of National Defence University as well.
He is a graduate of Britannia Royal College Dartmouth, PAF Transport Conversion School, PAF Air War College, US Naval War College and the National Defence University. He led the Pakistan Tsunami relief mission to Sri Lanka and Indonesia.
He is a recipient of Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Military), Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and the Sultan of Oman's Commendation Medal. Rear Admiral Mohammad Ehsan Saeed has assumed the duties of Chairman of Gwadar Port Authority.-PR
