The Lahore High Court (LHC) has directed the concerned authorities to submit record pertaining to arrests and action taken against those violating ban on kite flying. The court passed these orders in a petition which was filed by M D Tahir advocate praying to the court to pass an order for taking action against those responsible for violation of ban on kite flying.
The LHC directed the Additional Advocate General Punjab to furnish the record regarding the arrests and details of actions against the violators within a week's time. During the course of proceedings, the honourable judge remarked that how long the deaths would continue as a result of kite flying and the court could take suo motu action.
