Message from his Excellency President of Pakistan

I am pleased to know that progress on Pakistan GasPort Limited's Fast-track Floating LNG Import Terminal and LPG Extraction Plant Project continues apace. The importance of augmenting Pakistan's gas supplies is paramount. Natural gas accounts for 50% of Pakistan's energy mix and remains the preferred fuel in industries and homes.
The ready availability of natural gas is critical towards ensuring and sustaining Pakistan's economic growth. I am happy to know that for the first time in Pakistan's history, we shall be able to import natural gas through this landmark Project. When fully commissioned, this Project will be capable of augmenting natural gas supplies by 400mmscfd or 13% and LPG supplies up to 1,000 metric tonnes per day or 60%.
I wish success to Pakistan GasPort Limited, Port Qasim Authority and the local and foreign parties involved in the Project. I congratulate Pakistan GasPort Limited on the Project Launch of its Fast-track Floating LNG Import Terminal and LPG Extraction Plant and assure the Project support of the Government of Pakistan.
