Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) leaders have reiterated their demand to punish the killers of innocent people of Karachi so that no one can dare again to attack on masses.
They were addressing the "Tahafuz-e-Pakistan Road Caravan." on Sunday. The caravan led by Qazi Hussian Ahmed, Maulana Fazal-u-Rehman, Liaqat Baloch, Ans Noorani, Professor Sajid Mir, Muhammad Haneef Abbasi will reach Lahore on Tuesday, May 29, to take part in MMA public gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan.
MMA leaders marched from Liaqat Bagh to Sawan Bridge along with a huge number of workers and people from different shades of opinion.
Heavy contingents of police and other law enforcement agencies were deployed to avoid any untoward incident in the city but the rally passed peacefully. This caravan will pass through Jehlum, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura and Faisalabad. MMA leaders will address public gatherings at Gujar Khan, Gujrat and Gujranwala in the way to Lahore.

They also said that it is imperative to restore constitution and real democracy in country and make the judiciary independent for the rule of law and supremacy of constitution.
They also demanded the role of army should be fixed as per the constitution of the country. It should be ensured that in future Army must not intervene in the political matters of the country and restrain only to defend the frontiers of Pakistan.
Condemning the Musharraf they said that Musharraf has demolished every institution and proved himself an autocratic ruler, but his days rule have been numbered as Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry with his resistance has shattered dicator's confidence.

Every individual who believes in democracy and rule of law should come forward and support the democratic forces in Pakistan. Rejecting the claim of President Musharraf regarding the extremsm in Pakistan they said that extremists are Bush and his allies who have supported reign of terror all over world and innocent people have been killing in Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine and Kashmir since aegis and no one to stop them.
They said Muslims can not be extrimists ever but western culture would not be allowed to penetrate and demolish the bonds of Islamic culture in Pakistan. They said that MMA public meeting at Minar e Pakistan would prove that people have turned into a force to throw the dictators away.
On the occasion Qazi Hussain Ahmed, President Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) and Ameer Jamat-e-Islami has termed the debarring Imran Khan from travelling to Karachi as gross violation of human rights.
