Having restored peace in the city, Sindh Rangers will withdraw their troops from various parts of Karachi on Monday morning, May 28, 2007. According to a handout on Sunday, Sindh Rangers said that they were tasked at 1700 hours on 12 May 2007 to take over the situation from police in the aftermath of violence witnessed during earlier parts of the day.
They said that a large number of Rangers troops were called from interior Sindh to reinforce the troops already present in Karachi and by the grace of Allah Almighty and due to cooperation of Karachiites, Sindh Rangers was able to come up to the assigned task of protecting life and property of the masses from any further loss of damage which could have occurred on the outbreak of apprehended ethnic violence.
While extending message of peace, fraternity and goodwill to the people of Karachi, Sindh Ranger expressed their thanks to all segments of society for backing up Rangers in its endeavor towards restoring peace and tranquility in the city.
In particular, they thanked the common man for reposing trust in Rangers and in cooperation with organisation. They also thanked the media for their role in bringing peace and harmony in post-12 May scenario. Sindh Rangers assured people of province of their sincere, dedicated and comprehensive support in the future.
