Honourable Justice Javed Iqbal took oath as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan. Senior Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Honourable Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar administered the oath at Islamabad. The oath taking ceremony was attended by Honourable Judges of Supreme Court of Pakistan, advocates of Supreme Court, AORs, law officers and officers of the Supreme Court.
Honourable Justice Javed Iqbal took oath as Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan in the absence of Honourable Justice Rana Bhagwandas. Justice Rana Bhagwandas is on a foreign visit to Malaysia to attend the "Asia Pacific Reforms Forum (APRF) meeting". The meeting is being held from 28th to 30 May 2007.-PR
