A four-day annual permanent Indus Commission meeting will begin here on Thursday to discuss matters relating to rivers flowing from India to Pakistan and objections raised by Pakistan on Kishin Ganga and Uri-2 hydel projects.
Syed Jamaat Ali Shah, Indus water Commissioner headed by 9-member team will represent Pakistan at the meeting while Dr Tharaeja led by his delegation will represent India.
The agenda of the meeting included finalisation of annual report on Water Commission and schedule for visits to sites and meetings. It will also discuss modalities for arrangements of flood water flow from India to Pakistan during the forthcoming Monsoon season and objections raised by Pakistan on Kishin Ganga and Uri-2 hydel projects.
