Provincial Minister for Co-Operative Colonel Malik Muhammad Anwar has said that the government is taking pragmatic measures for the implementation of by-laws of the housing societies. For this purpose comprehensive plan has been chalked out.
While addressing a departmental meeting here on Wednesday to review arrangement, he said that it would solve the problems prevailing in the housing societies and stern action would be taken against the land grabbers and fake housing societies.
He said that government had made amendment in the Land Act 1925, which would be helpful to eradicate forgery of land. He further said that solid legislation had been made to protect the money of investors. He said that the procedure chalked out for the housing societies had been admired by the other private societies. Government has introduced audit and annual election system in the societies, he added.
