Director of Town Planning Tahir Ahmed has declared 11 more private housing schemes, launched in district Sanghar without any approval from his department, thus increasing the number of illegal housing schemes to 62 in four districts of the province.
In his press release issued here on Wednesday, the Director said that the private housing schemes, indulging Rahat City, Wasif Town, City View, Diamond Housing Scheme, Kingri Town, Rafique Town, Manu Peer Colony, Bismillah Town, Mehran Town, Muslim Town and Gulshan-e-Wali Muhammad, had been launched without any approval from his department.
He said that Section 8 of the Town Planning Act stipulated that any scheme, which was not approved by the competent authority, was illegal and liable for legal action.
He said that the District Co-ordination Officer (DCO) and District Police Officer (DPO) of district Sanghar had been requested to seal the booking offices and lodge FIR against the builders/sponsors of illegal housing schemes. Besides, general public had also been advised not to book any plot in illegal housing schemes, he added.
