An application praying to make Sindh Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim as respondent in petition filed against government officials for May 12, 2007 violence in Karachi was filed in the Sindh High Court on Wednesday. Iqbal Kazmi advocate filing application submitted that Sindh CM insulted judges and committed contempt of court by giving disputed statements against them.
He alleged through statements that Sindh CM was trying to influence court order on petition pending before full bench of SHC regarding the May 12 violence in Karachi. He stated that even Constitution did not allow Parliament to comment on court and its judges. He prayed to make Sindh CM in case and initiate proceedings against him.
