A high powered 23-member State of Qatar delegation led by H.E Yousof Hussain Kamal, Minister for Finance government of Qatar, Excellency Hamab Bin Ali Hinzar, Ambassador of Qatar with Saif-ur-Rehman, ex-Senator of Pakistan met the chief minister Sindh and discussed commissioning of mega projects.
The projects worth millions of dollars include cement plant, livestock & hotels.
Later, at a simple but graceful signing-in ceremony was witnessed by Provincial Ministers / Advisors to the Chief Minister, City Nazim, Chief Secretary Sindh, Provincial Secretaries, distinguished guests and members of the press & media witnessed the signing-in of MOUs related to the above projects.
The Chief Minister while addressing the gathering stated that Pakistan & Qatar are bound by strong fraternal ties and brotherly relations, since the inception of Pakistan. With the signing of these 3 MoUs today, in Livestock, Cement plant & Hotel Project. Sindh & its people will be benefited, not only with mutual trade & economic partnership but shall have immense potential of job generation that will create new horizons for years to come.
Setting up livestock project in Sindh is a welcome thought from a brotherly Muslim country to utilize the local breed by organising slaughter house for one million heads in Halal meat. These are to be exported to Qatar and the rest of the Middle East, even to Europe & America where a number of Muslims reside from all over the world.
As regard the Cement plant which is the basic need for heavy construction work of roads, houses, and plazas, not only in Pakistan but also for the region and the sub-continent. Hence the Sindh government will extend full cooperation for setting up of cement plant, as basic raw material is available in abundance.
Qater state's decision to set up five- star hotel which is the dire need for the world's 10th largest city Karachi. The number of international traffic this city absorbs every-day needs first class hotel accommodation on immediate basis.
Finally, in his massage H.E Yousof Hussain Kamal Minister for Finance Government of Qatar reiterated his government's strong support to Pakistan. He said that investors from Qatar shall continue to invest more and more into number of segments available in Pakistan like communication & IT, construction, power, hotel & tourism.
He re-assured the guests that the delegation feels extremely confident and comfortable to invest in Pakistan especially in Sindh because of port facilities and cheap skilled labour. The ceremony concluded with exchange of pleasantries.-PR
