Director of Town Planning, Hyderabad, Tahir Ahmed, has declared more 32 private housing schemes, launched in Shahdadpur, district Sanghar, without any approval from his department. Thus, the total of such illegal housing schemes has been increased to 94 in the four districts of the province.
In a press release issued here on Friday, the Director, Town Planning Department, said that the private housing schemes indulging in Gulshan-e-Latif, Shahdadpur Model Town, Usaman Nagar, Hamza Nagar, Rashdi Town, Rajput Colony, Manzoorabad, Noorabad Colony, Mustafa Colony, Soomar Faqir Colony, Ram Colony, Shah Faisal Town, Abdullah Colony, Jamal Nagar, Gulshan-e-Dilawar Colony, Latif Town, Gulshan-e-Islam Colony, Badar Town, Bismillah Town Phase-I, II & III, Qayoomabad, Sharif Bungalows, Muhammadi Nagar, Allahyar Town, Taj Colony, Hur Mujahid Colony, Bilal Colony, Noor Muhammad Colony, Akber Colony, Zaman Town, Jiay Latif Colony, Mal Peri Housing Scheme and Al-Faisal Town have been launched without any approval from his department.
The press release said that section 8 of Town Planning Act stipulates that any scheme which is not approved by Town Planning Department, Government of Sindh, is illegal and liable for legal action.
It said that DCO and DPO of District Sanghar have been requested for sealing the booking offices and lodging FIR against the builders/sponsors of illegal housing schemes. Besides, the general public has also been advised not to book any plot in illegal housing schemes.-PR
