Grand Mercure Karachi Airport Hotel has appointed Akhtar Riaz as Director Sales, says a press release issued here on Sunday. He has previously worked for the Hashoo Group of Hotels as Corporate Sales Manager for the Pearl Continental Hotel Lahore.
After a year, he was promoted as regional sales manager for all 7-hotels of the Hashoo Group. Later, he has worked as head of regional sales. Akhtar has also worked as director sales at the pre-opening of Pearl Continental Hotel Gwadar.
He was awarded as the best employee of the world for Marriott Hotels by Bill Tiefel, President Marriott Lodgings, USA. He has done MBA from Florida University and got trainings in Sales & Marketing at the international level.-PR
