DIG Sindh and commander of reserve police Ghulam Asgar Sheikh has said that discussing with Inspector General (IG) police recently he stressed on giving more facilities and rewards for the Sindh reserved police to recognise their abilities and performance.
The IG police assured him to do more to facilitate and rewards the reserved force as per their capabilities in the coming year of 2007-8, he added.
DIG Sindh Ghulam Asgar disclosed about his meeting with IG on the reward giving ceremony at Sindh preserve police head quarter Hyderabad. On the occasion 118 reserve police were promoted. He distributed Rs500 cash and certificates to 41 policemen.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion he said that the Sindh reserve police are the back-bone of Sindh police and always ready to tackle any problem immediately with the Sindh regular force.
Ghulam Asgar Sheikh said that 32 coasters of polices have been sent for repairing in which seven have been repaired which will be provided soon to the Sindh reserve police so that they can effectively perform their work along with the regular police. 25 more coasters will be repaired immediately that also available for Sindh reserve police. He added that the million rupees are being spent on repairing of vehicles.
Highlighting the importance of good health conditions of the police force he said that only healthy police force could play its due role and serve effectively and efficiently to the country in the best possible manner.
And to maintain their health condition some important steps have been taken, he said, like police force and their family will regularly be checked up specially to detect Hepatitis B and C viruses as well as a complete treatment facility will be provided to them and their families. Since the disease is rapidly spreading out the environment and its detection is necessary and anybody can be the victim of it any time.
On the occasion the regional police officer Hyderabad Sultan Saladin Babar Khushk appreciated the performance of reserved police work force. He said that giving rewards and cash is the motivating factor which help enhance the work performance.
