Archery in Australia. Australia has a climate conducive to outdoor activities, and a population that considers sports an important part of its culture. On any weekend, a wide variety of sports are being played out across the land. Age and skill may vary, but participants have one thing in common - love of sport and the desire to compete.

Craig commenced work at the Sydney Morning Herald in 1985. As with all photographers working for newspapers in Australia at that time, he covered all areas of photography for the paper such as news, sport and the arts. While he enjoyed the variety of work encountered as a press photographer, his real love was sports photography.

In 1991 he was appointed to shoot full time for the paper and remained in that position until leaving the Herald in 2008 in order to pursue a freelance career. His work has taken him to major International events both in Australia and Overseas over the last 20 years including Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Rugby World Cups, and World Swimming Championships.

During this time he has won over 35 International Awards, including 6 World Press Awards, and more than 70 National Awards for his photography. In 2007 he had the honor of being invited to be on the judging panel for the World Press Photo Awards held in Amsterdam.

Craig continues to shoot sport, Corporate events, PR and Feature work for various clients.
