If "insider trading" is a serious crime in USA, Canada and rest of developed world, why is it accepted as a privilege of elite in Pakistan. The recent probe by FBI into the involvement of Pakistani bankers in this white collarr, was headline news in this country.
What about the alleged involvement of key brokers in Karachi Stock Exchange mafia, or Steel Mills privatisation scandal, or purchase of plots in a private housing society opposite Lahore airport by key figures of the establishment, weeks before its take-over by Lahore DHA, etc, etc. Is all this kosher. How long will we allow this hypocrisy and double standards to continue?
