The Karachi Port handled 78,332 tonnes cargo including 64,489 tonnes import, 13,843 tonnes export cargo and 1,911 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 53,332 tonnes dry cargo including 20,766 tonnes general cargo; 14,550 tonnes fertiliser; 10,881 tonnes coal; 1,744 tonnes rice; 5,391 tonnes cement and 25,000 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships namely Iran Shahryar, Sinar Bontang, Wadi Al-Rayan, Ibn Younus, Good Trade, Pacific Champ and Adria sailed out to sea during the report period.
Three vessels viz Harmony, Apl Brisbane and M.T. Swat are currently at the berths. Three ships namely Apl Brisbane, Sea Harvest and Uthai Navee expected to sail on Wednesday, while two vessels viz M.T. Swat and Adrekni expected to sail on Thursday.
Four vessels viz Oriental Rose, Oel Victory, YM Moon and Hyundai Sprinter due to arrive on Wednesday, while two ships namely Iran Baabaei and Fanta are due to arrive on Thursday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 78,447 tonnes comprising 70,674 tonnes import and 7,773 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,502 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 30,932 tonnes diesel oil; 16,213 tonnes iron ore; 2,550 tonnes chemicals; 2,058 tonnes fertiliser; 1,160 tonnes cement and 25,534 tonnes containerised cargo.
Container vessel Maersk Georgia sailed out to sea during the report period. Two vessels viz C.V. Nedlloyd America and M.T. Difko Susanne are expected to sail on Wednesday. Container vessel Anvil Point is currently at the outer anchorage.
Seven vessels viz C.V. Maersk Georgia, C.V. Nedlloyed America, M.V. Tarpon Santiago, M.V. Nordana, M.T. Yanaseni, M.T. Difko Susanne and M.V. Captain George-L are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, fertiliser, chemicals, diesel oil and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Two ships namely C.V. Hanjin Kwangyang and C.V. Anvil Point due to take berths at Container Terminal on Wednesday. M.T. Maersk Barry due to arrive on Wednesday, while four more ships namely C.V. Ibn Sina, C.V. TS Nargoya, M.T. Stella and M.T. Keefan with containers, furnace oil and diesel oil are due to arrive on Thursday.
