The Central Board of Revenue (CBR) and Lahore University of Management Sciences (Lums) have inked an agreement for capacity building of tax officials of BPS- 20 and above. The CBR on Monday announced that the agreement is a part of the CBR's reform programme for capacity building and training of tax officials.
The Human Resource Management (HRM) Wing and LUMS have signed one-year agreement till June 2008. Lums faculty has developed special training modules to equip senior officers with the latest management techniques. Lums would focus the areas external analysis and strategic change, modern management techniques (leading and managing change).
The agreement was signed by Muhammad Talha, Member (HRM) on behalf of CBR and by Jamshed Khan (Dean/REDC) on behalf of Lums. The senior officers of field-formations and representatives of CBR (HRM) Raza Baqir (Chief HRD) and Yasmin Yusuf Khan (S. Secretary HRD) attended the event.
