The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Pakistan (IEEEP) is organising a two-day multi-topic international symposium on June 15-16, 2007. IEEEP Chairman (Karachi Centre) Engr. S.S.A. Jafri stated this at a press conference held here on Wednesday.
He said PM's Adviser on energy Engr. Mukhtar Ahmed would inaugurate the symposium. The keynote speaker at the inaugural session would be Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) Managing Director Engr. Munawwar Basir Ahmed.
He said the objective of this symposium was to disseminate knowledge in the fields of electrical, electronics, telecommunication and information technology besides, improving the professional standards of practising engineers.
In the symposium, eminent engineers would present technical papers in five technical sessions apart from three papers to be presented by the final-year engineering students, he said, adding the last technical session will be a panel discussion on 'Looming Power Crisis - Do we have any workable solution?'
